Julia Brocard
Makeup Artist | Creative | Gourmand
Being a dual citizen of the US and France coupled with her constant curiosity surrounding creative endeavors from drawing, painting, cooking, visiting art museums, and makeup throughout her life, Julia was meant to bring her creative point of view to the world. Makeup is her medium of choice. Enhancing her wedding clients beauty and putting her editorial French girl aesthetic to use, makeup artistry was a natural fit. From being mesmerized watching her French mother doing her makeup every day in her formative years, to being the go to guru in her friend group through High School and College, Julia finally decided to do something about it.
From October 2005 through January 2006, Julia attended the MKC Beauty Academy in LA where she obtained a Certificate in Beauty, Print, and Fashion Makeup. For the next 13 years, she slowly built her creative side hustle, having worked on photoshoots both as Key Makeup Artist and Assistant Makeup Artist for Velcro, Friendly’s, Panera, Sassoon Salon North America, The Improper Bostonian, Scene Magazine, Shawn Mendes, former Mayor Marty Walsh, and as part of The Knot Magazines Hall of Fame travelling wedding beauty team Charlotte & Company, Inc.
Julia loves to enhance her wedding and event clients natural beauty while also having the opportunity to work on editorial style photo shoots where her French girl aesthetic can take hold. Blending her cultural heritages to bring her creative point of view to life while ensuring she leaves her clients feeling their most beautiful is paramount.
Julia also has a Bachelors of Science Degree in Business Administration and a Certificate from Harvard Business School Online in Alternative Investments. When Julia isn’t working full time as an Account Manager or pursuing her side hustle as a Makeup Artist, she can be found reading, watching TV, flipping through magazines, spending time with friends and family, traveling to her other home country of France, or with her Husband probably eating yummy home cooked meals in the North End of Boston.
